Antonis Rouvas is a graduate of Wake Forest University in the State of North Carolina in the USA with a degree in Business and Mathematics, BSc (High Honours). He has the professional titles of FCA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and AMCT (Association of Corporate Treasurers, UK). He started his professional career at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in London. He subsequently worked for many years in the multinational bank Credit Suisse in various locations starting from Singapore and with last appointment in London. Since the beginning of 2005, he was a partner at KPMG (Audit and Advisory) in Nicosia. In March of 2008, he was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer of Hellenic Bank.
